GRACE WOODCOCK
she/her | b. 1993, Luton | based in London
Medical and scientific developments inform Grace Woodcock's research into what it means to have an intelligent, sensing body; what it could mean to be physically enhanced or manipulated. Through combining 3D computational design with experimental upholstery; Grace makes soft sculptures, wearables and furniture. 1960s space age aesthetic permeates her work; at once recalling the optimism for the pursuit of the unknown which was so energetic at that time and a vision of curvaceous environments with bodily intimacy.
